Obituary of Ruth Elizabeth Soellner

Ruth Elizabeth Soellner, former resident of Camden, Maine, died Wednesday at the Palatine Nursing Home where she has resided since July 2, 1992. Born in Schenectady, New York on January 27, 1903, she was the daughter of the late William D. and Elizabeth Verklas Connell. On August 22, 1942 she married Frederick W. Soellner, who died March 2, 1970. Ruth was employed as a Court Reporter for the U.S. Army at various bases for 27 years, while her husband was a career Army officer. After retirement in1959, they moved to Riverside, California where they resided and later in 1965 they moved to Camden, Maine. Survivors include three nephews and cousins. Ruth was predeceased by a sister Mytle Bronk who died May 30, 2005. There will be no calling hours and a private graveside service will be conducted at the convenience of the family at the Park Cemetery, Scotia, NY.
