Obituary of Dorothy M. White

Mrs. Dorothy M. White, 94, passed away at Mt. Loretto Nursing Home early Friday morning. Born on June 6, 1911 in Ft. Johnson, NY she was the daughter of the late John and Ann Rust Dodds. She was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Amsterdam High School. Mrs. White was a member of the former Trinity Reformed Church and its former guild; and was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. White was a homemaker who dedicated her life to her children and loved her grandchildren deeply. She enjoyed traveling, knitting and sewing. On October 20, 1933 she was untied in marriage to Walter E. White. That union lasted 55 years until his passing on July 25, 1988. Her loving family includes, two daughters, Carol A. Forsey and her husband Harry of Northville, NY and Janet D. Daley and her husband John of Niskayuna, NY; two sons Donald J. White and his wife Barbara of Chestertown, NY and retired R.A.D.M. David E. White and his wife Mary of Arlington, VA; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 6, 2206 at 11a.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam with the Rev. Richard Klueg presiding. A calling hour will precede the funeral from 10 until 11. Interment will follow in the Hagaman Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt.
