Obituary of Joan F. Winters
Mrs. Joan F. Dauksza Winters, age 71, died on Sunday April 9, 2006 at her home in Gloversville.
She was born on June 18, 1934 in New York City, the daughter of the late George and Mary Dybowski Dauksza. She was employed many years ago in the factory at the Johnstown Knitting Mill.
On February 5, 1955, Joan was married to Kenneth G. Winters, who survives. Also surviving are two children, Paul Winters and his wife Lynnae of Caroga Lake, and Mariana Brunell and her husband Scott of Clifton Park; two sisters, Estelle Higgins and her husband Robert of Johnstown, and Marie Stropoli and her husband Anthony of Gloversville; five grandchildren, Ashley Winters, Jarret Winters, Jenah Winters, London Brunell and Keegan Brunell; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Her beloved dog Hoppy also survives.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, April 15th at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah´s Witnesses, 145 Riceville Road. Cremation took place at Leatherstocking Crematory, Cherry Valley.
