When Dawn found out that my daughter lost her young calf expectantly, she said, call her immediately, if I needed anything in the future. I didn't even ask her for help. This is the kind of woman & 4 H mom, she was. She did not just talk about helping kids, she acted on it. You knew just by talking to her, that she really, truly cared about kids(all kids), she did not just talk about it. I will truly miss her a lot, especially her presence at the Fair. Colleen S. Magai

To all of Dawn's family,
It is with a very heavy heart I send these loving wishes for God's peace to sustain you with Dawn's departing this earth. Words fall short to express feelings, l but I will try. She was so very special to so very many, including our family. She so patiently and lovingly put up with and taught our son about her cows and work he so loved. She was patient, kind, and giving. Our son walks down Morgan way now, where the calf barn was, and feels such peace and happiness. I know why. The joy he had on that farm was so important in his life. The memories Dawn gave to so many will live on as long as we do, until we meet again! I pray the happy memories will fill in the empty moments of her girls, husband, brothers, and mom an dad she loved so very much. Our world was made better because of her sweetness and gentleness. May we all hold onto that and the blessings she was the vessel of as we continue on our journey. I am thankful for Dawn and her family being in our lives, and only wish we could have been able to get up there to visit. May God bless you all.
