Obituary of Kenneth Roger Nethaway

In Loving Memory of Kenneth Nethaway, Sr. Kenneth passed away Sunday November 13, 2016 at the age of 76 after a battle with cancer. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Ken was the son of the late Frank R. Nethaway and Mary Schrom (Lott), and step-son to the late David E. Lott. He and his wife Victoria O'Dell celebrated 57 years of marriage together. They have 3 sons: Kenneth R. Nethaway Jr (Mary), Frank R. Nethaway Sr (Gina), and Thomas J. Nethaway (Mary Jo). He has 7 grandchildren: Kyle and Kelsey Nethaway, Roasie Hubiak (Joseph), Frank R. Nethaway Jr. (Heather), Joshua, Luke, and Miranda Nethaway, as well as 7 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way. Ken is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law Rose and Ed Leonard. He is predeceased by his mother, father, step-father, as well as his brother Gary Lott. He is survived by his brothers David and Marvin Lott, and sister Diane Lott. Ken was a local business owner of Nethaway Motor Car in Gloversville. He loved to play cards with friends as well as on his computer. In his younger years he was an avid bowler. He loved to attend his sons' and grandchildren's' sporting events. He was a man who would be there for anyone in need. Many people in our area have seen him pull up in his flatbed to lend a hand for people needing help. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. May he rest in peace. Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers. To respect Ken's wishes, there will be no funeral services.
