Obituary of Charles Smith

Charles Smith, 69 of East Main St. Amsterdam, passed away Wednesday April 19, 2006 at Montgomery Meadows Residential Health Care Facility, Amsterdam. Born in Amsterdam on August 29, 1969. He was the son of Mr. & Mrs. George Smith. He was a lifelong Amsterdam resident and attended local schools. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran serving from 1954 to 1958. Mr. Smith worked for a time at the Bojud Knitting Mill. He is survived by one son, Charles Smith, two daughters, Darci and Lee, and two sisters. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday April 24, 2006 at 1:00P.M. at Fairview Cemetery in Amsterdam with full military honors. There are no calling hours.
