I would like to thank everyone for there expressions of sympathy on behalf of my family. I also feel it nessesary to correct some mis-information that has appeared in this guest book so as not to offend anyone. My father never went to New York after 9/11. I am positive if he was still an active duty firefighter at that time, wild horses couldn't have kept him away. Firefighting & rescue were the passions and his life. Anyone who knew him knows that he missed the Department terribly after he chose to retire. He didn't like to admit it, but retiring was one of the great mistakes of his life. Regarding his military service stated in the obituary, his service over seas Korea was during the years of 1955 & 1956. Not during the Korean conflict itself. I'm unsure were the funeral home recieved there information for posting, I just feel it nessesary to be acurate out of respect for all combat veterens. Once again, thank you for all the kind words. I know Dad would be humbled and honored by them.

My condolences on your loss. Bill, Archie Dunham and I were great pals growing up together in Northville. Bill was a very witty fellow and easy to talk to whenever we got together at class reunions. We also shared the connection that my Aunt Bet was married to his Uncle Loren.
I'm pleased, through these tributes, to learn of his 9/11 service.

Bill grew up with us and went through school with us a NCS. Larry worked with Bill at the Oneida Market and also played drums together in high school. Larry and Bill were great goof offs together. We're sorry to learn of your great loss. I always remembered Bill on his bday, it was close to mine, so I never for got it. Bill was a neighbor of mine/Gail on south first street, so we played together a lot. We were proud of the fact that he had gone to NYC to help after 9 - 11. Larry and Gail Cramer
