Obituary of Martin D. Tallon

Martin D. Tallon, age 78, of Johnstown, died Monday morning, November 14, 2016 at Mountain Valley Hospice House, Gloversville, following a brief illness. He was born February 2, 1938 in Gloversville, the son of Martin and Elnora Chatterton Tallon. A 1957 graduate of Gloversville High School, he later employed at General Electric Co. in Schenectady for 10 years. He was owner of The Yesterday Shop where he enjoyed dealing in antiques for 30 years. Martin is survived by two children: Tracie Lin Hamilton and Allon Reynolds, both residing in Florida, as well as five grandchildren. Also surviving are his good friends and neighbors Patricia and David Cook of Johnstown. A graveside service will take place 1:00pm Wednesday, November 16th at Section 14 of Ferndale Cemetery, 545 N. Perry St; Johnstown, with the Rev. Dr. RW Williams officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville.
