Obituary of Alice M. Lane

Miss Alice M. Lane, of Schmidt Street, Tribes Hill, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning at home. Born on June 16, 1924 in Tribes Hill she was the daughter of the late Richard and Emma Frasier Lane. She was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of the former Fonda High School. Miss Lane was employed for many years at Mohasco in Amsterdam in the payroll office. She was a member of the Iroquois Seniors and a volunteer at the Ft. Hunter Library. Miss Lane was also a communicant of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Tribes Hill. Her loving family includes her sister Margaret Jasper of Amsterdam; one niece and nephew; and one great niece and great nephew. She was predeceased by two brothers, Richard and Charles Lane. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 9a.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10a.m. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Third Avenue, Tribes Hill with the Rev. Kevin Kenney OFM Conv. as celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited and may call from 5 until 7 this evening Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one?s choice.
