Obituary of Joan Marie Herringshaw

Joan Marie Herringshaw, 51, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 30, 1964 she was the daughter of the late Frank Moak Sr. and Patricia Pitt Foland. A lifelong area resident, Joan worked for several local companies including Smoker Friendly, The Eagles, Big Lots and Prestige Services in Palatine Bridge. During her lifetime, Joan was a "mom" to so many; she enjoyed being at home, cooking, gardening, baking and spending time with her family and her cat, Milo. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her husband, Eugene "Gene" Herringshaw; her children, Brian Moshier and Valeen Dingman, Tanya Tisko and her husband Dwayne, Jason Moshier and Brittni Prevost; her five grandchildren, Peyton, Zachary, Dionna, Keaton, Zoe; siblings, Kevin Moak, Judy Hennessey and her husband Patrick, Karen Nurnberger and her husband Bob, Sharon LaMont and her husband Patrick, Steven Moak and his wife Melissa, Charlotte Palmatier and her husband Larry, Sara Moak, Mike Reinhart; her step-dad, Hal Foland; and step-children and step-grandchildren and all of their families; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Keith Brian and Frank Moak Jr.; and a grandson, Brian Moshier Jr. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11a.m. at the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie. Burial will take place in the Ames Cemetery in the spring. Relatives and friends are invited any may call on Friday evening from 5 until 8p.m. at the funeral home.
