Dear Uncle Bill,
Some of my earliest memories as a young boy are riding in your truck to go hunting, and fishing, on quiet lakes with you catching bullheads or riding in the front of the boat on a shallow lake scouting for rocks so that you could lift the motor before the blades hit them. Being quiet and enjoying the outdoors became such a natural part of who I am as a man because of you. I remember you teaching me to use a rifle for the first time or pulling out nice night crawlers to go fishing from a wet pile of old leaves. Learning to bait a hook with crayfish and or live bait. You even taught me how to make a decent cold cut sandwich. Or riding in the big Dodge power wagon heading north on route 30 going to watch bears at the Piseco dump. The memories I have of being quiet with you in the Adirondack mountains of New York will always be with me. Those were comfortable and peaceful times for me. This is how I want to remember you. You taught me many ways of how to be a man and show respect toward others. I watched you stand for justice on a few occasions as well. To the family I want you to know this is what Bill Young met to me and this is how I will always think of him.
