Obituary of Beth E. Jump
Village of Palatine Bridge, NY—Beth E. Jump, 65, of West Grand Street, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 11, 2016, at her home.
Born December 23, 1950 in Amsterdam, New York, she was the daughter of the late David and Betty Markes Abraham. She attended Amsterdam Schools and lived in Canajoharie for 27 years before moving to Palatine Bridge in 2010.
Beth first worked on the Abraham family farm in her youth. She later worked at Coleco Industries in Amsterdam for a number of years until 1973.
She was a member of the St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Amsterdam. Beth enjoyed arts, crafts and photography. She loved her cats.
On April 22, 1979 she married Robert J. Jump, Sr. who passed away in February 13, 2016. Survivors include five sons, Kevin R. (Samantha) Jump of St. Johnsville, Bryon K. (Ryann) Jump of Sprout Brook, Robert J. (Linda) Jump of Coxsackie, Richard J. Jump of Eudora, Kansas and David P. (Anna) Jump of Fairview, Tennessee; a daughter, Theresa A. (Jerry) Monk of St. Johnsville, a daughter-in-law, Diane Jump of Amsterdam; two brothers, George Abraham of Amsterdam and Charles (Deborah) Abraham of Fort Johnson; two sisters, Beatrice Abraham (Stu Minch) of Broadalbin and Clara "CJ" Abraham of Sierra Vista, Arizona; 17 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Beth was predeceased by her son Edward Jump who passed away in 1996.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016, at 1:00 PM at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY. Burial will take place in spring at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Tribes Hill, NY. Calling hours will be held on Friday two hours prior to the funeral from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
