I was not able to share my condonences with you personally at the wake but was able to share in the celebration of the funeral liturgy this morning. It was a fitting tribute for a wonderful woman that I was fortunate to know. As a new nurse in 1970, your Mom and your Aunt Pat were my mentors. I always felt confident with them there knowing they would get me through any situation I might face. The night supervisor truly ran the hospital and often I have thought that someone should have written a book of the unique experiences they faced during the night. Some of the other sisters that would have been here have recently had surgery or are ill now. We all hold Madeline in high esteem and know how she will be missed by her children and family. We all have wonderful memories - I pray these will ease some of the sadness of loss. I ask God to fill your hearts with peace. My sympathy, Sister Johanna Ryan csj

Madeline came to my mom's wake on November 14. My sisters and I were so happy to see her and so grateful to her for coming.
Mary, Connie and Sophie and I have such fond memories of playing with the Agresta kids on Stewart Street. I remember Madeline fondly from those long ago times!
What a great family and what wonderful childhood memories I have associated with the Agresta family.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sorrowful time.

I am married to her nephew Tony DeCicco--my story is that when working the night shift 18 years ago--i went into 3 weeks early premature labor with my daughter chelsea. I decided to stick the shift out to 0700--she came by every 15 minutes to make sure I was alright---then at 0730 she was right at the birth for the first DeCicco girl to be born. I will always have nice memories of madeline--she taught me alot. Sign Karen DeCicco.

I worked with your Mom for years at St. Marys, we were both St. Marys grads and had the same love for the profession. She was a great nurse as well as a thoughtful, caring friend. She will be truly missed,I will remember her always.

To the Agresta Family, I am a friend and former roommate of Peggy, and had the opportunity to meet Madeline many years ago when she and Dan came to San Diego to visit. Grandma,
Thank you for all you have done for me, but the thing I loved the most about you is allowing me to be your grand daughter. And the one thing I'll never forget is all the wonderful things the you have given me through out my life and the wonderful memories too. And even though your gone don't forget me because I loved you so much and you'll at least be with Scott, Uncle Danny, and Grandpa. So if your lonely up there you'll at least have them to turn to.

Mom,
It was a pleasure being your son for the last 43 years and it's still a pleasure being your son. I will always remember all the great times we had together and as a family. Tell Daddy, Danny, Max and Princess I miss them very much and all of our other relativesand hopefully all of us will be together again in the future. Love #8, a.k.a. The baby of the family! Love ya hon!!!

To the entire Agresta family,
I am in total shock & extremely saddened by the passing of Madeline. I was her hairdresser for many years and enjoyed visiting with her when she came in to get her hair done. We had many wonderful conversations over the years, and lots of funny ones, too! She was very proud of her family and spoke of ALL of you every time I saw her.She always had lots of good advice for me regarding my sons; I figured she was an expert! Please know that that I admired her so much and will truly miss her. You are all in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. May God bless you all.
