Obituary of Heinz N. Abert
Heinz N. Abert, 72, of Woodcrest Drive, passed away suddenly Monday at his home.
Born in Dortmund, Germany on April 23, 1935, he was the son of the late Heinrich and Helene Martha Gosch Abert. Educated there, he emigrated to the United States in 1958. A US Army Veteran, he was honorably discharged in 1964 wit the rank of Specialist 4th Class. Heinz was employed for twelve years by the Sonoco Paper Products before he retired as the head of maintenance and mechanics at the plant. He was of the Roman Catholic faith.
Heinz was a member of the Hagaman Volunteer Fire Department and was a trained member of the fire police. An avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt and fish, and was an excellent woodcrafter.
He leaves his beloved wife, the former Mary Jane Fraumeni whom he married on July 1, 1978; sons Norbert Pam Abert of Marietta Georgia; Robert Abert of Waterford; step-son John Politi and his fiance' Carol of Nelliston; step daughter Mary Jane "Mitzi" Stephanie Politi of Taunton, Mass.; a sister; Hannalore Arthur Pacher of Germany; grandchildren; Amber, Mariah and Perssipany as well as nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Heinz was predeceased by a son, Thomas Abert.
Services are at the convenience of the family and burial will take place in the spring at Hagaman Mills Cemetery. Fr. Pascal A. Iannotti, officiating. There are no calling hours and contributions may be made in his name to the National Shrine Of North American Martyrs At Auriesville, in care of the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, to whom the family has entrusted his arrangements.
