I was so sorry to see the obituary in the Leader Herald for Butch. I have not lived in Gloversville for many years and never met his wife or children. My grandmother was Ruth J. Manzer Young sister to his mom and Butch used to come out to our house with his mom and dad when we were young and we were good buddies in those days. I lost my wife several years ago so I know that your loss is a very painful one. I will remember Butch and all of his family in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you all.

I am so very sorry that this man, whom we can agree that we all admired and looked up to, was taken from you so suddenly. I apologize for not being in attendance to pay my respects in person. I always felt that Ed was one of the nicest, funniest guys that I had the good fortune to know, and I will miss him greatly. I know that the Lord keeps a special place in Heaven for souls as magnificent as his, and I'm sure he's up there with my Dad and Mom, swapping stories about his children and grandchildren.
