Obituary of Margaret Ann Johnson

Margaret Ann Jackson Johnson, 79, formerly of West Galway, NY, passed away Wednesday evening March 5, 2008 at the E.L. Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility in Amsterdam. Born in West Galway, NY on October 20, 1928 a daughter of Charles and Carolyn E. Jackson. She was a lifelong area resident and attended local schools. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker all of her life and enjoyed being with her family and helping out on the family farm in West Galway. She was a member of the West Galway Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed the Top Notch Riding Club Shows and Gardening. Margaret married Gary Johnson. He passed away in 1967. She is survived by two sons, Lance Scott Johnson and his wife Kathy of West Galway, NY and Mark D. Johnson also of West Galway, NY. Two grandchildren, Corey and Kevin Johnson of Glens Falls, NY. Nieces, Nephews and cousins also survive. Also surviving is family member, Ruth Johnson of Amsterdam. One predeceased son, Chris W. Johnson who passed away on July 8, 2006. Two predeceased brothers, Charles H. Jackson and Harvey C. Jackson. Funeral services will be held on Monday evening March 10, 2008 at 7:00P.M. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam. Interment will be in the spring in West Galway Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. prior to the funeral service.
