Obituary of Gary J. Romaine

Gary J. Romaine, Sr., 60, passed away Sunday morning April 6, 2008 at Mountain Valley Hospice in Gloversville. He was born in Gloversville on December 28, 1947 the son of Erwin Lee Sr. and Harriet Romaine. Gary was a lifelong resident of Gloversville and worked at various leather mills in the area. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved to watch the History Channel. Gary will be missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his wife, Susan Scott Romaine, of Gloversville; two sons: Erwin Romaine Jeremy and Gary Romaine Jr. of Gloversville; two daughters: Sharon Caputo Joe of Gloversville and Susan Ambridge Ray of Orlando, FL; a brother, Erwin "Skip" Lee Laura of Gloversville; two sisters, Adelle Tracy of Gloversville and Patricia Lee Danny of Broadalbin; eight grandchildren: Blake, Stacia, Gregory, Robert, Jennifer, Nicholas, Cassandra and Andrew; a great-grandchild Catherine and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be Wednesday April 9 from 10 to 11am from Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home in Gloversville. A Funeral Service will follow at 11 am with the Rev. R.W. Williams officiating. Burial will be in Ferndale Cemetery in Johnstown at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Avenue, Gloversville, NY 12078.
