Obituary of Patricia Lyng
Patricia Lyng, 80, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2008 at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville. She was born on June 5, 1927 in Glens Falls, NY the daughter of the late Arthur Been, Sr. and Lelia Winslow. Patricia graduated from Lake Luzerne High School. She worked as a seamstress for Van Raalte Manufacturing in Saratoga and the Ballston Knitting Mills in Ballston Spa.
She played the organ for the Salvation Army in Saratoga Springs, of which she was a longtime member, she was an avid bingo player and loved puzzles. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include three sons: Donald Lyng, Jr. Lesa of St. Regis Falls, NY; Michael Lyng Sharon of Saratoga Springs, NY and Doug Perrier Suzanne of Cohoes-Waterford, NY; a brother, Stephen Chesney of Cave City, Arkansas and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Patricia was predeceased by a daughter, Cheryl Johnson and two brothers: Arthur Been and Brian Chesney.
A funeral service will be held Friday, May 2 at 11 a.m. at the Walrath and Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville with the Reverend R.W. Williams officiating. Family and friends are invited and may call from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.
