I was greatly saddened to hear about Nancy passing and my sympathy goes out to each of you. I remember Nancy from middle school, otherwise know as Estee Jr. High. We used to walk back and forth to school together. Alwyas so sweet, and always with a smile. I then went on to Bishop Burke and lost touch with her however, I never forgot about her. Mike and Family,
I just wanted you to know that when I was 19 and started working at Price Chopper, my mom had just passed away with colon cancer. She was 61. I was very, very close to her and was having a tough time with it. I met Nancy and we worked together the several years I was there and she was always there to listen.
Nancy reminded me of my mom in so many ways. Her gentle sole and kind heart and warm smile. In my life I can honestly say there have only been a couple of people that have touched me like that and reminded me of my mom.
My heart goes out to the family. She was special and any life she touched was a blessing.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My father passed of cancer coming up on 4 years ago. He went with my sister, morgan and myself holding his hands and talking him through letting go and leaving his body. I never really believed in God or anything before, but I saw a moment when his unseeing eyes- which had been clouded with pain and death- cleared and became focused and beautiful- right before he died. I know his soul was present in that moment and left in the next. I don't know where souls go- but I'm sure they go somewhere. I hope you have the same feeling of relief that I felt when Graham passed. Maybe Graham and Nancy will be hanging out watching us gather later today and smile. I will see you soon. Love, Whitney

Although I don't know you, Nancy's family, I feel compelled to write and tell you how much Nancy's passing saddens me. I worked with her when she started working here at BP in the middle school and have seen her periodically throughout the years when she moved to our other schools. She was always a ray of sunshine for all of us but particularly for our children... smiling, positive, helpful, caring. She gave them something they didn't always get at home compassion and consistency.

To the Cassaro family;
It is with great saddeness that I learned of Nancy's passing and would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to the entire family. I worked with Nancy for a couple of years as she assisted a few students in my language classes. She was so very proud of her grandson Nick and would keep me updated of his whereabouts when he lived in Spain. I'd also see her every morning as I passed through the cafeteria and she always had a kind word and her smile was so infectious it would brighten my day. She touched the lives of many students and faculty at Broadalbin Perth and we can all consider her our guardian angel now that she is just spiritually with us. She will be greatly missed. As a child I use to play at your home. As I grew up, I moved away but jumped at the chance to live in Meco again because of neighbors like the Cassaro's. I have raised my 4 children here in Meco, and although I did not see Nancy often, when I did she would always give the warmest smile and remember me as a child.
