Dear Sophie and Ford Family,
Phil and I were so sorry to hear the news that Bill passed away. He was such a wonderful person who always made everyone he met feel like a life long friend. I will always remember how kind he was to us after my sister Joyce died and you and Bill came down to Miramar and cooked up daily feasts for everyone over the days leading up to her funeral. You were both lifesavers and gave us all great emotional support during a very sad time.
For many many years we would always hear about "Aunt Sophie and Uncle Bill" from my nephews, Johnny and Brian after they would comeback to our house on Long Island after visiting all of you in Tribes Hill during their "vacation within a vacation!" My sister Joyce would fly up to NY with the boys for their yearly summer vacation and then they would drive or take Amtrak up to Albany to spend time with all of you. They have many happy childhood memories with all of you. My sister Joyce would always speak of you both with great love and fondness. She always said she felt like a sister, not a sister-in-law when she was with all of you.
One year Phil and I brought our boys down to Florida and we took them to Walt Disney World. After our visit we stopped by your house in Kissimmee Poinciana to see you and we had a great time. We too have happy memories with both Bill and you. Even though we have not seen you both in many years I always ask Johnny or Brian Jr. how you are and get all the updates.
Sophie, we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. I wish we lived closer so I could help you now. We send you our deepest sympathies and pray that you find comfort in knowing he's at peace and not suffering anymore. Much love and comfort to all of you today and always.....Love,

Dear Ford Family:
It is with great sadness that I hear of your Dad's passing. I want you to know that my family and I send our deepest condolences and prayers. I remember fondly being welcomed into your home for a great Thanksgiving feast after a great night of poker with Bill & Mike! Mr. Ford was always gracious and welcoming as is the entire family and for that I am truly grateful.
With sincere condolences:
Scott and Tracy Channell

Dear Auntie Soph, Barbie, Mike, Billy, Auntie Mitz, Dad and extended families,
We just wanted you to know how truly sorry we are over the passing of Uncle Bill. He was a great son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great-great grandfather, Pop-Pop and friend to so many. He never let anyone down and was always the nicest person that anyone could ever be.
I'm so glad we were able to have the Family Reunion a couple summers back in Amsterdam. Everyone had so much fun and enjoyed themselves. We will always have great memories of that gathering.
Like cousin Billy, I also share the same name as Uncle Bill and our late Grandfather, John W. Ford. I'm honored to share this special link in our families history with them. Uncle Bill and Gramps were both great men.
Along with my wife Renee and daughter's Emily and Riley, we offer our deepest sympathies and we will keep you close in our hearts, thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Just know that you have so many people who share your saddness and are here to comfort you in anyway necessary in the days, weeks and months ahead. We will always be family...
Love and Peace to all....
John, Renee, Emily & Riley Ford
