Obituary of Bonita M. Kadle

Mrs. Bonita M. "Bonnie" Kadle, age 73, of Mayfield, died Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Mountain Valley Hospice, Gloversville. She was born April 29, 1936 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Harley and Mila Decker Brooks. She was employed by Coleco Industries in their Gloversville and Mayfield plants and later at the Grandoe Corporation for ten years until her illness. Bonnie enjoyed arts and crafts and also loved to cook. She was married October 7, 1978 to Russell A. Kadle who survives. Also surviving are four children: Bonny Lou Dolly of Washington, Thomas Carter of Gloversville, Robert L. Carter, Jr. Denise of Mayfield and Bobbi Jo Daley Bill Beaton of Mayfield; a brother, Russell Brooks of Tennessee; four sisters: Joyce Brooks of Fonda, Glendora Ostrander of Northville, Betty Manchester of Gloversville and Linda LaVada of Mayfield; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Bonnie was preceded in death by her grandson, David Bradley, and her brothers, Vernon Brooks and Harley Brooks. The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, February 26 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville, where a funeral service will take place 2:00 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Dr. R. W. Williams officiating. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda. Memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Avenue, Gloversville, NY 12078.
