Obituary of Harvery Jon Hart
Harvey Jon Hart, 70, of Mayfield passed way, May 26, 2017. He was the son of the late Earl "Chub" and Earlene Close Hart. Harvey was a graduate of Mayfield Central School and Fulton Montgomery Community College. Known as Harvey, Joe, Harv, Dad and will be remembered as a kind sensitive soul. During his early years he worked on family farm and as a bus-boy at Susie-Lou's. After school he became an account-clerk at Knight-Oil, on to retail sales, then as a security guard at Nathan Littauer, recently retiring from Amsterdam Print. He held many position in the Village of Mayfield, Police officer, Police Chief, Village Board member and Mayor. He loved the Village! He always enjoyed spending quality time with his family, cousins and friends, showing off his gardens, decorating during the Holidays and making floral arrangements.
Survivors include his son Shane (Marlena) Hart and younger brothers Jack (Mary), Orrin (Joyce), Tim(Dorothy) Hart and sister Melissa(Gary)Mazzarelli. Nephews Tim(Daneen), Matthew, Orrin/OJ(Amy), Aaron(Misty), Christopher(Rachel) Hart, Nieces Kathleen/Kasie(Bill) Wemple, Leah(Ross) Bennett, Anna Mazzarelli and Becky Ann(Grady) Wilson, Grand-nieces and nephews, Cousins, and special friends, Bart, Dawn, Danielle and Robert "Bubby" Landers. At Harvey's wishes there will be no services. The family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date. Memorial donations in Harvey's name can be made to the Mayfield Historical Society, P.O.
