Obituary of Timothy Patrick Coughlin

Mr. Timothy Patrick Coughlin, 54, of Tribes Hill, New York died peacefully on Thursday, June 1, 2017 surrounded by his family at St. Mary's Hospital. Born in Niskayuna, NY on July 13, 1962 he was the son of Thomas and Mary Lou Hotaling Coughlin. A lifelong area resident, Tim graduated from Perth Central School. For many years, Tim was employed at Saratoga Harness Track and Diamond Creek Stables. He loved the thrill of Harness Horse racing and enjoyed caring for the horses. Tim was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, musket rifle hunting, target tomahawk throwing and loved his country deeply. Tim was also a fan of the Cleveland Browns. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his parents; siblings, Terri Osborne and her husband Jeff and Thomas J. Coughlin Jr.; five cherished nieces and nephews: Amanda Boice his goddaughter and her husband Dennis, John Thomas "JT" Coughlin, Matthew Osborne, Casey Coughlin and Brooke Osborne; several aunts, uncles, cousins; a special sister in law, JoAnn Coughlin; and his entire extended family of friends at Wally's Driftwood Park. A Gathering for family and friends will take place on Monday, June 5, 2017 from 4 until 7p.m. at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. Funeral and Burial Services will be private and take place at the Lutheran Cemetery, Schoharie, NY.
