Obituary of Josephine A. Giles

Mrs. Josephine A. Giles, 73, of Gloversville formerly of Amsterdam passed away Wednesday evening, June 8, 2011 at St. Mary s Hospital in Amsterdam after a brief illness. She was born August 21, 1937 in Stamford Connecticut, the daughter of the late Alfred and Mary Buinick Ramskey. Josephine enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, she played cards and board games with her fellow neighbors and enjoyed their company. She was a loving woman and a care giver to her family and friends. Her loving family includes her daughter Kathleen Bonfey John Tybor of Hagaman, grand children Jenai Leggiero, Robert Young, Daniel G. Giles, and Amy Valachovic; great grand children, Mark, Jaden, Mackenzie, Madison, Zahki, and Amber Lily. She is also survived by her beloved sister Rose Avnayim and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews all of Connecticut. Josephine was married to the late Edward Giles, July 6, 1954. He passed away May 5, 1964, she is also predeceased by her son Daniel E. Giles who passed away February 27, 1994. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, June 11, 2011 from 12PM until 2PM at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam NY 12010. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, in care of the funeral home office.
