Stormy: I offer my sincere condolences on the passing of your mother. I read her obituary in the on-line version of The Leader-Herald. She was a remarkable woman; raised a really remarkable, outstanding daughter; and lived a remarkable life - 101 years old. She was always so kind and friendly toward me in all the years we knew each other.
My mother's brother, John Bernard, moved back to Gloversville many years ago and is now 95 going on 96 and the past 10 months have not been kind to him. He has been in and out of nursing homes several times and is now back living at Pineview Manor in Johnstown. My brother and I have assumed the duty of caregivers because he has no other relatives. I hope your mom's senior years were filled with the dignity she deserved and reasonably good health.
How are you doing? Are you still writing? I don't think so since an e-mail to that address bounced back. Do you still have an operating interest in your facilities management company?
I have 3 significant real estate deals in the works which will end my real estate career when concluded. A couple are complicated and may take time to close. Sue has been retired from her CPA work for about 4 years but still makes quilts almost daily. My sister Barbara died two and a half years ago from lung cancer. She wouldn't listen to me when I was 13 and told her she shouldn't smoke. Her daughter Stephanie is a very successful real estate attorney in DC. My brother's older son lives in Falls Church, VA with his wife and Steve's younger son Brandon lives in Baltimore and works in Annapolis.
Once again, condolences on your mom's passing. I hope you have enjoyed a grand life. Hope your mom did too.
Warmest regards,
Sandy Rothschild
