Dear Carol and family...
I just read of "Papa's" passing. I am truly sorry. I know that he was the very best man I ever knew...his devotion to Jane is an example of what a man should aspire to. He was always so kind to me, and the boys.

I feel great sadness about the passing of Carl. I met him only once in Kaneohe, at Lori's house.
I was impressed by his kindness and quietness.
