Obituary of William M. Gable

William M. Gable, age 83, of Broadalbin passed away on Monday September 12, 2011 at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital in Patchogue, NY. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 4, 1928 the son of the late William C. and Anna Kleis Gable. William proudly served his country by serving in the United States Army and the United States Navy. He was a former member of the Gloversville Moose Club, Gloversville American Legion Post # 137 and the Gloversville VFW Post # 2077. He owned and operated Art's Tavern in Gloversville for many years. William is survived by his three sons: William Gable Jr. of Long Island, NY, Thomas Gable of Broadalbin, NY, Christopher Gable of England, three grandchildren: Gabrielle Gable, Corey Gable, Jaime Gable and a sister, Virginia Gable. Funeral services for William will be private and held at the convenience of the family. The arrangements have been entrusted to the Jeffords & Stewart Funeral Home, 85 West Main Street, Broadalbin.
