Obituary of Ruth H. Kruger

Ruth H. Kruger, 88 formerly of Riverview Drive in Amsterdam passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at E.L. Wilkinson Nursing Home. She was born January 30, 1923 in Amsterdam, the daughter of the late Henry and Mildred Wonn Christman. Ruth was a life time resident of the area and graduated from the Wilbur H. Lynch High School. She later went on to school for Business. During the war for some time she worked for the American Locomotive. She married her beloved husband Willard W. Kruger July 20, 1946, they shared a union of 65 years. She was a home maker and care giver to her family and especially enjoyed her grand children. She also enjoyed gardening. Survivors include her husband Willard W. Kruger, Son Gary Mary Kruger of Amsterdam and daughter Pamela Bruce Raymond of Detroit, MI. Her loving grandchildren also survive, Sarah Kruger, Stephanie DeSimone, Dawn Raymond and Kay Raymond along with one great grandson Frank DeSimone. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Betz Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam NY 12010. Funeral services for Ruth will be private and held at the convenience of her family. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Community Hospice of Amsterdam or Montgomery County Office for the Aging in care of the funeral home office.
