Obituary of Stephen E. Mochrie

Mr. Stephen E. Mochrie, Jr., 55 years old, of Harvard Avenue, died Friday at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born February 24, 1956 in Amsterdam, a son of Stephen and Frances Trzaskos Mochrie, Sr., and was a lifelong resident of Amsterdam. Mr. Mochrie was a graduate of the former Wilber H. Lynch High School. He had been employed as a machine operator with the Amsterdam Printing Co. for many years. Mr. Mochrie was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed bowling and playing golf. Survivors in addition to his mother of Sarasota, Florida are his wife: the former Donna E. Playford; two brothers: Douglas Mochrie of Sarasota, Florida and Darryl P. Mochrie of Westchester, Ohio; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held 10:00am Tuesday at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, with Fr. John Medwid officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Amsterdam. The family will receive relatives and friends Monday from 4 until 7:00pm at the funeral home.
