Obituary of Mary R. Blake

Mrs. Mary R. Blake, 90, of Highland Place, Canajoharie, NY died peacefully on Monday, July 24, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital with her family by her side. Born on April 5, 1927 she was the daughter of the late William and Alice Coddington Ryan. A lifelong area resident, Mary graduated from Fultonville High School. She was married to Lawrence H. Blake and together they raised a family. Mary was a member of Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church in Fort Plain. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence; her siblings, William Ryan and Margaret Saltsman; and her daughter-in-law, Maggie Blake. Survivors include her four children, Patrick Blake of Newark, NY, Kathy Anderson and her husband Edward of Ames, NY, Terrence Blake and his wife Mickey of Davie, FL and Debra Gros and her husband William of Nelliston, NY; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 11 o'clock at Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church, 115 Reid Street, Fort Plain, NY 13339 with the Rev. Jim Davis as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Peter's & Paul's Cemetery.
