Obituary of David W. Stanyon

David W. Stanyon, age 59, of St. Cloud, Florida, died Friday, July 28, 2017 at Orlando VA Medical Center, Orlando, FL. He was born October 19, 1957 in Syracuse, the son of Donald and Lois Behlen Stanyon. A 1975 graduate of Gloversville High School, he served in the US Army from 1976 to 1979. He was the owner of Quality Phone Service of Florida. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed both snow and water skiing. He has resided in the St. Cloud area since 1981. David was Past Master of the Masonic Lodge of St. Cloud, Florida. He is survived by his wife, Diane Cronin Stanyon of St. Cloud, FL; two children, Trishia Stanyon-Johnson (Jeremy) and Ryan Stanyon of St. Cloud; two brothers, Donald F. Stanyon Jr. (Lisa) of Gloversville and Daniel R. Stanyon (Dawn) of Canaan, CT; a grandson, Jason Johnson; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 7pm Wednesday, August 2 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St, Gloversville where a Funeral Service will take place at 10am Thursday. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville.
