Obituary of Arthur Edward Young

Mr. Arthur E. Young, 70, of Honeywell Corners Road, Broadalbin died peacefully on Sunday, September 03, 2017 at Ellis Hospital with his family by his side. Born in Tupper Lake, New York on December 10, 1946 he was the son of the late Frank and Clara Lamica Young. Art was employed for General Electric in Schenectady for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed being with his family, being outdoors and working on his cars. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife of over 48 ½ years, Kristina Sherman Young; four children, Shawn Young, Edward (Shelia) Young, Lisa Young, Angela (Ken) Thompson; nine grandchildren, John, Donnie, Edward II, Dylan, Brooke, Joshua, Austin, Shane and Xena; two great grandson, Brayden and Leon; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded by his siblings, Francis and Mary; and one granddaughter, Monissa. A Service of Remembrance will take place on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 3p.m. at the Jeffords & Stewart Funeral Home, 85 W. Main Street, Broadalbin, NY 12025. A Gathering for family and friends will take place for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 2p.m. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
