I don't have a specific memory, but the weekend after Thanksgiving, 2012, my Aunt Sara [Carpenter] McAfee and I drove up from VA and MD and were visiting relatives. I had never met Harold or Sue, but we had the nicest time there. Just talking about what was going on in our lives, and sharing family memories.
Aunt Sara remembered this from our visit: When Sara introduced me, Harold said, "You're cute!" How can that not put a smile on your face? She said that in the car, after we'd left, I said that I'd wanted to say 'You're cute, too!" That's the main thing I remember about Harold--he was so cute. And so sweet.
I regret not visiting this past summer to see him once more.
We love you Harold. I'm so happy to have met you and to have had you in my life, even if if was for such a short time. We'll never forget you.
