Obituary of Bridgett Drzewicki

Bridgett Drzewicki, affectionately known as "Miss Hagaman" died peacefully on Saturday, September 16, 2017 following a brief illness. She was 94. A lifelong Hagaman resident, Bridgett was born on April the daughter of the late Konstanty "Charles" and Catherine Bakuesonis. She attended local schools, worked in Mohawk Carpet Mills and was a homemaker. Bridgett was a well known guest on local radio shows, calling in to discuss her thoughts on the political landscape or whatever was on her mind. On November 26, 1949 she was united in marriage Leonard C. Drzewicki. That union lasted 48 years until his passing on December 19, 1997. She was also predeceased by her siblings Joseph Bakuzonis and Catherine Chriss. Survivors include her son, Ronald C. Drzewicki and his wife Merrilee; two grandsons, Ronald L. Drzewicki and his wife Mindy and Gregory W. Drzewicki; two great granddaughters, Briana and Maci; nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 9a.m. at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam with the Rev. O. Robert DeMartinis officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Hagaman, New York. Calling hours will be held Wednesday evening from 4 until 7p.m. at the funeral home.
