Dear Family of June,
I had the privilege of getting to know June at the Nathan Littauer Nursing Home. I play the piano and lead tai chi there twice a month. June would always be sitting in the front row and would greet me each time with a big smile and a nod of the head. She always participated with enthusiasm. She loved the songs, "Somewhere My Love" from Dr. Zhivago and "Bei Meir Bist du Shein" - Means that your grand", a Yiddish song that was made popular by the Andrew Sisters. She told me of listening to that song when she worked in a couple's home.
What a delight June was. Such spirit, such love, such sparkle!
Even though I have only known her for three years, she has definitely made an impact in my life.
You are deeply missed June. Those of us who knew you, we will always treasure your wonderful, kind, gracious spirit! Rest in Peace dear June!
