Obituary of Gladis G. Santos

Gladis G. Santos age 65 yrs. of Amsterdam, NY passed on October 11, 2017 at St. Mary's hospital. She was born January 13, 1952 in La Vega Dominican Republic and was the daughter of Florinda Espinal and the late Puro A. Santos. Relatives and Friends are invited to call on Monday, October 16, 2017 from 4 to 6 PM with a funeral service to follow at 6 PM at the Betz, Rossi, Bellinger Family Funeral Home 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010 with Fr. Jeffrey Larshe Pastor of St. Mary's Church officiating. A private cremation with follow at the Vale Crematory in Schenectady, NY. Gladis is survived by children Leonardo Pena, Leonel (Christine) Pena, Gladys (Justin) Crawford and grandchildren Chanelle Pena, Jasmine Pena, Alina Pena and Bryce Crawford. She is also survived by brothers and sisters Felix Vargas Espinal, Josefina Ruiz, Ysabel Fernandez, Maria Rodriguez, Francisca Fernandez, Miguel Fernandez, Juan Fernandez, Alida Fernandez, Lijia Fernandez and Juan Santos. Gladis was a devoted mother who loved to enjoy life to the fullest by dancing as much as she could. During her lifetime she was a culinary baker who loved to bake and even had the pleasure of owning her own Bakery, "Reposteria Leonela" in her hometown of Bonao in Dominican Republic. May our beloved mother, daughter,sister, and friend continue to sing and dance with our Lord Jesus Christ for eternity. Que Diocito te cuida como tu cuidaste a nosotros.
