Obituary of David R. Morrison

David R. Morrison, age 82, of Mayfield, died Friday morning, October 13, 2017 at Fulton Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare, Gloversville. He was born May 7, 1935 in the Town of Northampton, the son of Roscoe and Lillias Hunter Morrison. He served in the US Army and was later employed by the Local Carpenters Union of Albany. David is survived by two daughters, Teresa "Terry" Darby (John Stacy) of Gloversville and Marie Ingmand (George) of Olmstead Falls, OH; his companion, Elizabeth Paraszczak of Mayfield; and two grandchildren, Elizabeth Ingmand and Dennis Darby Jr. He was predeceased by his parents and his wife, Virginia Johnson Morrison, who died in 2012. The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 7pm Monday, October 16 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St, Gloversville, where a Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday. Interment will follow at Wells Cemetery, Wells. Memorial Contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to James A. Brennan Memorial Humane Society, 437 Nine Mile Tree Road, Gloversville, NY 12078.
