Hi Sam! I can't count how many times I have come to this page to say something, and didn't. There are no words to express my sorrow. We met years ago in a bowling alley, and we have bowled together in many leagues and tournaments since then. We laughed and joked about throwing gutter balls and we cheered when we 'struck out'. We talked about 'turkeys' when it wasn't even Thanksgiving. You were always there, making everyone smile and laugh. As others have said, bowling will never be the same without you. I will miss you 'like crazy' and I will miss your daily 'pokes' on Facebook.
My condolences to Carla, Nash, and all of your family. RIP Sam! You were a great man!

Sam,I will never forget when we worked together at Elton Leather and every day we would watch you coming down the street at only a pace you could have.We started at 8 am every day and at 8:15 everyday you showed up and after about a week of this the boss asked you why you are always late and you looked at him with a straight face and said " The damn cartoons don't end until 8" and off you went to work,The look on the bosses face.Going to miss that about you and will never forget that,makes me laugh whenever i think about it.R.I.P Couisin...Vern Hurd

I will always remember the nights our parents got together on 5th St. and played Canasta while we all ran around playing and having a ball. One Halloween really stands out when we all went Trick or Treating all over the city of Gloversville. We had so much fun together. I Love you Sammy and will miss you. I'll remember Sam as unassuming in appearance. Just an everyday, ordinary guy. BUT the actual Sam was anything but. He could be in a group of people and most likely be the reason all those people were in that group. Everyone found Sam because it felt so good to be around him. Very few people have the ability to make everyone feel like they belong..... THAT was Sam. A sense of humor second to none. A good enough bowler to compete and beat anyone on any given day. These and so many other things (too many to mention here) will always be how Sam will be remembered. Everyday I will see something that reminds me of this great man.
