Obituary of Richard E. Smith

Richard E. "Smitty" Smith, age 78, of Mayfield, died Thursday morning, October 19, 2017 at his home. He was born October 24, 1938 in Saugerties, the son of Everett and Hilda Jarman Smith. He was employed as a salesman by Arnoff Moving and Storage of Poughkeepsie. Smitty and his wife, Suzanne Wright Smith, lived in Ballston Spa and came to Mayfield about eight years ago. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jennifer E. Bullington of Albany. Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville. Cremation will take place at ParkView Crematorium, Schenectady. There will be no services planned. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the James A.
