Obituary of Diane Catozzi
Diane Catozzi, 60, of Glen, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at her home in Glen, New York.
She was born on January 18, 1956 in Schenectady, NY to the late Robert F.Catozzi and Julia A.Catozzi. She was a graduate of Scotia-Glenville High School, Class of 1975. Diane was a long time resident of the Liberty Foundation in Amsterdam, NY.
Diane will be remembered for her beautiful personality. Her warm heart, kindness, and sweet smile will be truly missed by her family, friends and wonderful staff that provided love and high quality care throughout her life. Diane had a deep love for animals and spent some time volunteering with the SPCA. She enjoyed reading and attending dances. She loved parties and looked forward to celebrating every occasion. She loved camping in the summer with her family and truly enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephew.
Diane is survived by her mother Julia Catozzi of Concord, NH; her sister Roberta Thompson and husband David of Concord, NH; her nephew Cole Thompson and partner Jen Paquette of Orlando, FL; her nieces, Kelly Thompson of Santa Monica, CA, and Amanda Thompson of Concord, NH; and her great nephew Carter Thompson of Orlando, FL. Many more loving family also survive. Diane is predeceased by her father Robert Catozzi.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 23rd, 2017 at 11:15AM at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 156 East Main Street, Amsterdam, NY, with Rev. Jeffrey L'Arche as Celebrant. Interment will immediately follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery, 27 Glenridge Road, Schenectady, NY 12302. The family will receive visitors from 10-11am prior to the Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Diane's memory to the Liberty ARC Foundation, 43 Liberty Drive, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
