Obituary of Hilda B. Buyce

Mrs. Hilda B. (Goodemote) Buyce, age 91, formerly of Gloversville, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Edward L. Wilkinson Residential Healthcare Facility, Amsterdam. She was born July 1, 1926 in Broadalbin, the daughter of Arthur and Minnie Chase Goodemote. She was employed as a hairdresser by Jules Beauty Salon and House of Charles of Gloversville. Hilda enjoyed traveling the country with her husband, John, in their motor home. John passed away in 2007. She was a member of Fremont St. United Methodist Church, Berkshire Fire Dept. Auxiliary, Fulton County Hairdresser's Association and TOPS. Hilda is survived by two children; Susan G. Scriven of Gloversville and Donna Buyce Kenney (Fred Blowers) of Mayfield; a grandson, Jason J. Malik of Gloversville; three great-grandchildren; Savanah Malik, Jillian Malik and Ellajay Malik; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, as well as four brothers and sisters, Minnie Goodemote, Roger Goodemote, Robert Goodemote, Arthur Goodemote and Mary Passer. The family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00PM to 7:00PM Friday, November 3, at Jeffords & Stewart Funeral Home, 85 West Main Street, Broadalbin, where a Funeral Service will be held 11:00AM Saturday. Interment will take place at Broadalbin Mayfield Rural Cemetery, Broadalbin. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the James A.
