Obituary of Peter P. Pritchard
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Peter P. Pritchard. A Vermont native, Peter was a graduate of the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service in New York City.
A funeral professional for over 40 years, Peter worked in all facets of the death care industry working in Vermont, New York, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2005 he joined the family of directors at Betz, Rossi, Bellinger and Stewart Family Funeral Homes. As the Director of the Care Center, Peter was an integral part of the BRB&S family and helped countless families in caring for their deceased loved ones, retiring in December of 2013.
He is survived his children, Peter and Emily; his former wife Carol and siblings; nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Peter will forever be remembered for the love of his family, Civil War History, Starbucks Coffee and of course Johnny Cash. Many will recall his vanity plate "JCash" on his trusted Volkswagen (a fine piece of German engineering), which was always parked out front on Guy Park Avenue.
At Peter's request, there are no funeral services. Online condolences and memories may be made on his tribute page at www.brbsfuneral.com
"Some bright morning when this life is over, I'll fly away
To that home on God's celestial shore, I'll fly away
I'll fly away, oh glory, I'll fly away in the morning
When I die, Hallelujah by and by
I'll fly away"
