Obituary of John Spence

Mr. John "Jack" Spence, age 85, of Galway, died Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville. He was born April 9, 1932 in Kilmarnock, Scotland, the son of William and Mary Spence. He served in the US Navy and was later employed as a truck driver by Gallo Wine Company of Schenectady, New York. Jack was survived by his four children, Mary Sherman (John Annunziato), Gail Conrad (Jeff), Bill Spence (Wendy) and Laura Riordan (Tom). He had seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his wife of 50 years Joyce Drohen Spence and his sister, Catherine Harblin (Les). Per the request of the deceased, there will be no services. Cremation took place at ParkView Crematorium, Schenectady. Arrangements have been entrusted to Jeffords & Stewart Funeral Home, Broadalbin.
