Obituary of Elsie C. Horvat

Ms. Elsie C. Horvat, 94, of Palatine Bridge, New York died peacefully on Saturday, November 11, 2017, following a brief illness. Born in New York City on November 23, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Jennie Horvat. Ms. Horvat was employed by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and as a Librarian in Bassick and Central High Schools in Bridgeport, CT. Following retirement, Elsie lived in Ocean Grove, NJ before relocating to Palatine Bridge in 2006. Survivors include her sister, Mrs. Florence Anderson; a niece, Patricia Anderson; two nephews, Andrew and William Anderson; two grand nieces, Corirae and Kate. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at 10 o'clock at Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Jim Davis as celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Our Lady of Hope Church, 115 Reid Street, Fort Plain, NY 13339 or the Ayres Memorial Animal Shelter, 133 Hilltop Road, Sprakers, NY 12166.
