Obituary of Jeanne M. Schmidtmann

Jeanne M. Schmidtmann age 80 yrs. of Amsterdam, NY died on November 12, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 24, 1936 in Syracuse, NY and is the daughter of the late Leo K. and Vivian H. (Shoecraft) Corsette. Relatives and Friends are invited to call on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 from 4 to 7 PM at the Betz, Rossi, Bellinger Family Funeral Home 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010. Funeral services will take place at the funeral home on Thursday November 16, 2017 at 11 AM then with burial in the family plot next to her late husband Donald P. Schmidtmann Sr. who died December 17, 2006 and whom she was married to for 54 years, at Fairview Cemetery. She is survived by her sons Donald P. Jr. (Julie) Schmidtmann Jr. of Tribes Hill, Michael R. (Maureen ) Schmidtmann of Perth, NY, Timothy R. (Maria) Schmidtmann of Gloversville, NY, Thomas R. (Marcia) Schmidtmann of Amsterdam NY, William K. Schmidtmann of Perth, NY. She is survived by a brother David Corsette of Bernards Bay, and also by a sister Debra Supple of Syracuse, NY. 12 Grandchildren , and 21 Great Grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents and her husband she is also predeceased by three sons Chris, David, Jeffrey. Two brothers Robert, Gary. Five sisters Dolores, Beverly, Connie, Patricia, and Sondra. Also a daughter in law Michelle Schmidtmann. During her lifetime Jeanne attended Johnstown High School. She was employed by Coleco Industry of Amsterdam, NY. After working for many years as a factory worker for Wards Products of Amsterdam, NY, where she retired from. She loved the Yankees, Feeding Birds, Caring for stray Cats and Dogs, and she was an avid Gardener.
