Obituary of Linda R. Carter

Linda R. Carter, age 72, of Fort Johnson passed away with her family by her side on November 24, 2017 at her home that her husband, and daughters built themselves in 1970. She was born June 14, 1945 in Fort Johnson, NY, and was the only child of the late William and Lillian (Marsh) Ryan. She is survived by her Husband David C. Carter, whom she married in 1965 and they have been married for 52 years, and a loving mother of two Daughters, Michele L. Carter, Tracey L. (Mark R.) Pabis. She is also survived by her loving Grandchildren, David R. (Allison) Pabis of Fort Johnson, Stephen (Sam) Pabis of Amsterdam, and Jenelle Pabis of Fort Johnson. And one Great Granddaughter Paisley Grace Louise Pabis who she adored. She is also survived by a lifelong friend Kathy McWhinnie, 2 Sister in Laws, and 1 Brother in Law, and many Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her Mother in Law Agnes H. Carter, Father in Law Edwin D. Carter. A Brother in Law James M. Carter. And her fur baby Gordy. Linda was a lifelong resident of Fort Johnson, She was a graduate of high school in 1963, and she started working for Harry D. Putman & Son Inc. where she worked for 48 years and retired in 2011. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Betz, Rossi, & Bellinger Family Funeral Home 171 Guy Park Avenue , Amsterdam, NY 12010 on Wednesday November 29, 2017 from 4 to 7 PM. A Memorial Service will take place on Thursday November 30, 2017 at 11am at the funeral home with a burial to follow in the family plot of the Hagaman Cemetery.
