Obituary of Barbara E. Satterlee

On November 25, 2017, Barbara Eleanor Satterlee, 85 years old, passed away peacefully at Nathan Littauer Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Gloversville, NY, at the "old" Nathan Littauer Hospital, on October 7, 1932, to S. Edward and Eleanor Eaton Brown, Barbara attended school in Gloversville starting at Oakland Avenue School, graduating from Gloversville High School in 1950. Barbara married the love of her life, Gene Satterlee, on December 26, 1955, a marriage that would last for close to 62 years that included five children, fourteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Barbara was the family's greatest supporter and cheerleader. From Gene's sports teams that he coached, to the teams he played for, to all of her children's and grandchildren's games and activities, no matter when or how far away they were, she was there rooting in her positive and proud motherly and grandmotherly way. She loved having everyone of them with her on holidays, birthdays, weddings, and Carnival Cruise ships. She was the true ambassador of the statement -Family is Everything!
