Obituary of Brett Walter Lasher

Mr. Brett W. Lasher, 21, of Amsterdam, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday November 28, 2017 in Broadalbin, NY. Born on July 19, 1996 at Bellevue Hospital, Niskayuna, NY, the son of Lynn Frisch Seahorn and Steven E. Lasher. He was a resident of Broadalbin, NY most of his life. Brett was a 2014 graduate of Broadalbin-Perth High School. He was employed in Food Service at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam for the past 2 years. He enjoyed going for walks, hiking, going to the beach, listening to music and spending time with his family especially on the many family vacations. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America Troop #51. He was of the Presbyterian Faith and a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Amsterdam. He is survived by his Mother, Lynn Frisch Seahorn and his Step-father Christopher Seahorn of Amsterdam. His Father, Steven E. Lasher of Schenectady, NY. Sister, Kara Lasher of Amsterdam. His Maternal grandmother, Thelma Frisch of Amsterdam. Two Step-brothers, Kevin Seahorn and Riley Seahorn both of Amsterdam. His girlfriend, Sydney Wainerdi. Uncle, David Lasher of Avon Park, Florida and Aunt and Uncle, Scott W. and Christine Frisch of Ft. Johnson, NY. Cousins, Morgan and Madison Frisch and Christopher Lasher. Best friends, Zack Newfrock and D.J. Stemmler. He was predeceased by his dear maternal grandfather, Walter Frisch and his paternal grandparents, George and Eileen Lasher. Funeral services for Brett held on Monday December 4, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY with Rev. Bonnie Orth presiding. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday December 4, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the funeral home prior to the service.
