Obituary of Raymond Farhart

Raymond Farhart age 81, a former Gloversville resident, died Saturday, December 2, 2017 in Stockton, California, where he had resided for many years. He was born June 2, 1936 in Gloversville, the son of Joseph and Eveline Khabbaz Farhart. He was a 1955 graduate of Gloversville High School where he developed his passion for reading books and writing. He attended Siena College of Loudonville, John Caroll University of Cleveland, Ohio and Stanford University of Stanford, California. Raymond is survived by a brother, Maurice M. Farhart of Gloversville; two nieces, Celeste Farhart of Schenectady and Adrienne Farhart-Ward and her husband Scott of Caledonia, NY and a grandniece, Meghan Ward. Visitation and Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of the Holy Spirit will take place privately at the convenience of the family. Interment will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville. Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Gloversville Public Library, 58 E.
