Obituary of Susan M. Cole

Susan M. (Blackwood) Cole age 72 yrs. of Fultonville, NY passed away December 4, 2017 at Saratoga Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born March 2, 1945 in Amsterdam, NY and is the daughter of the late Peter and Winifred (Busse) Slovick. A graveside service will take place Friday December 8, 2017 at 2:30pm at the Maple Avenue Cemetery in Fultonville, NY with Fr. Chris Welch, Pastor of St. Cecilia's Church in Fonda, NY presiding. Susan is survived by her husband Clifton Cole, her stepson Raymond Blackwood Sr. of Fultonville, stepdaughter Cheryl (Steve Baker) Blackwood of Florida, Amy (Scott) Seidel of Galway, stepson Clifton (Cathy) Cole of Bleeker, Karen (Brian) Pratt of Bleeker, and Kimberly (Carlo) Izzo of Breakabeen. Two sisters Carol (Jim) Connolly of Florida and Janet (Edward) DiScenza of Amsterdam. Grandchildren Raymond Blackwood Jr., Paul Baird Blackwood, Wesley Blackwood, LeAnn Pratt Ben Pratt, and Giovanni Izzo and great grandchildren Jack Matthew Blackwood and Cabella Pratt. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews as well as two very special friends Jack and Judy Brookman. Susan was predeceased by her first husband John "Jack" Blackwood, Jr and their son John Blackwood III. During her lifetime she worked as a Teacher's Aide for HFM BOCES in Mayfield, NY. She was a NASCAR fan and avid fan of her favorite driver Hut Stricklin. She loved camping, shopping and her dog Checkers.
